Today we're having a look at a gaming and multimedia headset from Beyerdynamic. Namely the MMX2. How much gaming and how much multimedia it is, is what we're going to find out today.

Xigmatek Loki SD963

Today we're testing the Loki SD963 CPU cooler from Xigmatek. A smaller cooler than the previous we've tested, let's see if it can perform just as good as the others or perhaps even better.

Xigmatek Gaia

Today we take a look at another new CPU cooler from Xigmatek, this time the Xigmatek Gaia SD1283. With a curvy design, possibility for two fans and easy installation we're taking a look at the performance of this CPU cooler.

Xigmatek Aegir

Today we take a look at a new CPU cooler named Aegir, from Xigmatek. A gigantic cooler with a 120mm LED fan included. Based on a double layer H.D.T cooling system and bundled together with the Aegir Norwegian god, Xigmatek believes that this cooler will be able to give you the cooling needed even for overclocked systems.

We'll take a look and see if it can handle our test-rig.

Razer Nostromo gaming keypad

Razer today announced their new gaming keypad, "Nostromo". Based on the Belkin product, but Razer-modified. Lots of nice blue color and seems to be packed with lots of features.

Antec releases High Current Pro power supply

Antec releases a new series of power supplies named High Current Pro. At launch they come in four flavors from 750W up to 1200W for the most demanding systems.

These new power supplies all achieve the 80 PLUS Gold certification and delivering up to 92% efficiency. All the power supplies is also covered by Antec's AQ5 Antec Quality 5-Year limited warranty.

Scythe announces new speakers and Class D amplifier

Scythe today announced their new all-aluminum monitor speakers, a new Class D amplifier and some additional accessories. The new Kro Craft mini Speaker (SCKCM-1000) are fully fledged stereo monitor speakers with rated 20W output on 8 ohm and reproduces a frequency range between 80Hz and 16kHz.

The Kama Bay AMP mini is a really small Class D amplifier which can be fitted into a 3.5 inch PC case drive bay. The amplifier is built upon the Yahama YDA138 which is rated at 10W each on two channels and 50mW on each channel for your favorite headphones.

Both the Kama Bay AMP mini and the Kro Craft mini Speakers can both be bought separately and together in a kit.

Together with the release of these products, Scythe releases new rubber feets which looks just amazing. When buying the speakers or the kit you will get some rubber feets, but you could also buy them separately.

Scythe announces Gekkou

Scythe has today announced a new case to their line of products. This new case is named Gekkou and is available in two versions; Standard and Silent.

The difference between them seems to be that the silent version features some noise dampening mats on the inside and a solid sidepanel, compared to the standard which features two air vents on one of the sidepanels which can hold a fan in the dimensions 80-140mm. Both versions features dust filters, two Slip Stream 120mm fans and enough space for most ATX motherboards.

Jetway NC63-330-LF

Today we've tested a motherboard from Jetway, namely the NC63-330-LF. This is a motherboard aimed for HTPC or the like. With DVI-D and HDMI connection, a powerful dual-core Intel Atom processor together with the Nvidia MCP7A-ION chipset this motherboard should be able to handle 1080i, 1080p and HDCP resolutions.

DTP Entertainment have given us information about their upcoming add-on for the game Drakensang, named Phileasson's Secret.

DTP says;
A new story about Asleif Phileasson, one of TDE's best-known characters, unfolds. Having placed a bet, he must surround the continent of Aventuria. On his journey, he has to survive numerous adventures in which he discoveres new creatures and cultures, treasures and items.

Ikonik today sent us some information about their two newest chassis, in their also new category named EN Series. We have gotten information about EN1 and EN2, where the EN2 is already available at least in the Swedish market.

Shattered Horizon - Launch week

Today we received yet another mail from Futuremark about their, soon to be released, first game. Together with a fresh new ingame video and a final notice about their generous pre-order discount on 25% for benchmarkers and beta-testers as well as the also generous 10% discount for those who are totally new to the game, we are now closing in on the release.

On November 4th it is time for the release and then the game will go back to full retail price at USD $19.95 which is still a fairly decent price and if you check the videos and screenshots, most probably also well worth it.

New Intel SSD firmware maximizes performance
On the heels of the Microsoft* Windows* 7 introduction, Intel Corporation today announced the availability of the Intel® Solid-State Drive (SSD) Toolbox, with Intel® SSD Optimizer and firmware update, for its 34nm Intel® X25-M Mainstream SATA SSDs. The latest tools are designed to help better manage and retain the out-of-box performance of Intel SSDs.

An SSD is built to replace a traditional hard disk drive (HDD) with added performance, lower power consumption and higher reliability. The Intel SSD Toolbox allows users to more effectively monitor and manage the SSD’s health. The firmware upgrade and Intel SSD Optimizer use the Windows* 7 ATA Data Set Management Command (known as Trim) to help keep the Intel SSD running at continued high performance. In addition, the SSD Toolbox and Optimizer also allow the respective enhancements to work with Windows* XP and Vista* operating systems.
