Mionix Saiph 1800

Christopher Fredriksson

We have today tested the Saiph 1800 from Mionix, a gaming mouse with excellent detail and quality. With just about enough buttons, which are large enough to give you a relaxed feeling when using the mouse, the Saiph 1800 is a really great one.

My hand which is about 19 centimetres long from the middle finger to my wrist lays perfectly on the mouse with very good access to all five buttons. Both my index and middle finger are relaxed on the mouse.

After using the Saiph 1800 for a few days I can finally say that I've definitely found the replacement for my old Logitech MX518, which also has the same dimensions as the older MX700 which I loved.

I've tried a few other new mice over the years but I haven't been able to find one that really fit my hand the way the Saiph 1800 does.

One extra thing I have to write about is the memory of the mouse, if you install the software and change any of the settings that are mouse specific, then unplug the mouse and plug the mouse into another computer you get the exact same settings on that computer.

The same goes for the colour of the mouse wheel which shows the same as when you unplugged the mouse. A big plus for that functionality that you normally never see on other products, not even on mice.

So next up will be the review of the Saiph 3200, we'll take a look on the differences to see if there are any difference.

Finally I would like to thank Mionix for sending out the review sample.
