New in Major Update 2 "First Aid" The Major Update 2 introduces significant new gameplay systems and marks an important milestone for Ground of Aces' evolving simulation of life on a Wwii airbase. These features not only make the game more engaging and fun, but also increase replayability, encouraging players to find new strategies for base management and crew survival.

Health recovery & aid: Doctors and nurses can aid injured crew and help them recover faster.
Field hospitals: Players can now build recovery facilities using new props, transforming parts of their base into functioning infirmaries.
Female crew members from the W.A.A.F.: The update also introduces the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, adding female staff and crew members to the airfield.
"This update makes planning and organizing your airfield in Ground of Aces even more exciting," says Moritz Zumbühl, Executive Producer at Blindflug Studios. "War isn't just about planes and missions; it's about the men and women who kept those planes flying. With the addition of health, recovery, and the W.A.A.F. the stories you experience with your crew become that much more personal and compelling."
By focusing on the human cost and resilience behind every mission, Ground of Aces continues to blend authenticity and emotion in its portrayal of life on a wartime airbase.
Ground of Aces puts players in command of a Wwii airbase, where they must build, manage, and lead through the challenges of war. Inspired by base-builders like RimWorld and Going Medieval, as well as historical strategy games like Hearts of Iron Iv, the game combines freeform base construction with aviation history and personal stories. Its art style pays homage to Franco-Belgian comics such as Biggles and Buck Danny, with its distinctive ligne claire aesthetic.
The main pillars of Ground of Aces:
Engulf yourself in Wwii: Lead a Royal Air Force airfield during the Battle of Britain, collect iconic aircraft, and defend your base from aerial threats.
A true base-builder at heart: Design and expand your airbase with complete freedom, ensuring every layout is unique.
A dream for aviation enthusiasts: Command historically significant aircraft, maintain your fleet, and prepare for missions.
Your crew's personal stories: Every crew member is more than just a number. Witness their struggles, triumphs, and now, their recovery.
