Digitus DS-55348

Digitus, the well-known brand of Assmann Electronic GmbH with many years of experience in the field of professional video extenders, is expanding its proven AV portfolio: A total of eleven new models supplement the existing range with high-performance HDMI transmission solutions via copper or fibre optics - optionally with KVM or IP functionality as well as PoE power supply.

The new products are aimed specifically at professional users in the fields of digital communication displays, control centre technology, conference systems and industrial applications.

The new extender models from Digitus not only impress with high resolutions of up to 4K at 60 Hz, low latency times, sophisticated scalability and simple integration into existing networks. They also offer a perfect solution for every requirement: whether via fibre optics or Ethernet, with or without KVM (keyboard-video-mouse) function, or with or without PoE (Power over Ethernet).

Digitus is thus emphasising its position as a specialist for sophisticated and future-proof AV technologies for professional use. "With our new extenders, we are responding to the growing demands for range, controllability and installation flexibility. The new models offer the right solution for almost every application," explains Dennis Harzig, Team Manager in the AV / Media Technology division at Digitus.

Video extender via fibre optics: long ranges of up to 40 km, high flexibility
Digitus presents the new HDMI Fiber KVM IP Extender Set (DS-55348) for installations with particularly long distances between source and output device. It transmits 4K signals at 60 Hz over distances of up to 40 kilometres (singlemode) or 300 metres (multimode) via optical fibre. At the same time, it enables remote control of connected computers via USB (keyboard/mouse).

If you want to use the system in larger applications, you can expand it with the matching HDMI fibre KVM IP receiver (DS-55349) by up to 253 displays using the IP multicast method. For purely video-based transmissions - without KVM function - the HDMI Fiber IP Extender Set (DS-55350) is also available, which also supports 4K / 60 Hz and uses the same fibre optic technology.

HDMI extender via CAT / IP: For flexible network integration
Digitus introduces the new HDMI IP Extender Set (DS-55351) as a compact solution for HDMI transmission via standard CAT network cables. It enables the low-loss distribution of 4K/60 Hz signals over distances of up to 200 metres without additional software or configuration - even to numerous displays in parallel if required. This system is complemented by the HDMI IP Receiver (DS-55352), which is used to set up one-to-many configurations.

PoE-capable HDMI extenders: power supply via Ethernet
The new PoE-capable models offer particular flexibility in installation. With the HDMI IP PoE Extender Set (DS-55353), HDMI signals can not only be transmitted via CAT cable, but also supplied with power at the same time - without the need for a separate power supply at the receiver. The matching HDMI IP PoE Receiver (DS-55354) expands the system with additional display units and is ideal for environments with limited power availability, such as public displays or ceiling installations.

KVM extender via IP: Control via mouse and keyboard
Digitus presents the new HDMI KVM IP Extender Set (DS-55355) for applications that require control of the source device in addition to video transmission. It enables the simultaneous transmission of 4K video signals and USB data via CAT cable over a distance of up to 200 metres. The system is complemented by the HDMI KVM IP Receiver (DS-55356), which integrates additional display units into the configuration and also allows remote operation via keyboard and mouse.

Video wall control: centralised and intuitive
The HDMI video wall controller (DS-55358), which serves as a central control unit for displaying an HDMI or USB-C signal on up to four displays, rounds off the new extender range. It makes it possible to display content both as one large image across all monitors and in individual zone distribution - ideal for control rooms, digital signage or information displays.
