Xigmatek Gaia

Christopher Fredriksson

We have today taken a look at the Gaia SD1283, from Xigmatek. On this cooler we have the possibility to use two fans if desired to try and get the temperature down even further. The Gaia comes with a total of three copper heat-pipes running from the top, down to the cooler base directly connected to the CPU heatsink and then going back up the top.

All the heat-pipes run in parallel, but thanks to closed sections on the side of the heatsink more pressure from the fan is given around the heat-pipes, preventing the air from escaping out the sides.

Installation was a great plus with this cooler, much appreciated! It also isn't as heavy compared to the [link=http://www.swemod.com/swemod/page/review/20101204_xigmatek_aegir_xigmatek/1/]Xigmatek Aegir[/link], which also is a big plus. It costs around 24 Euro and you can find it for example over at Caseking.de

I would like to thank Caseking.de for providing us with a review sample and also give thanks to Xigmatek for an outstanding product.
